 On Friday, November 7 at 10:40 our school will be holding a Remembrance Day service.  Each morning this week, we will be

 Collecting non perishable food items for our CanadianVeterans' 
                                 &  
Accepting coin donations for Poppies (nickels, dimes, quarters and loonies) Poppies will be distributed to students prior to the Assembly

                        Families are welcomed to join us in Friday's ceremony.

                 
Today in room:8, we reviewed letter Pp again and came up with P for
          
                         

                          Ask me what other words can I think of beginning with Pp

In room 3 we used our investigator glasses to find the letter P around the room.

 



We observed our pumpkin after the weekend. We noticed that it had some mould on it. Ask me about my observation......

We came up with words like, "mould" "rotten"

"mushy"

We also saw a few video about decomposing

We came up with "decay" "shrivled" "wrinkled"

We also shared our pumpkin with the other Kindergarten class. It is all about learning together!

We read the book, 

                                       
       We talked about the different bones in our body and why  are  bones important....

Ask me to point to different parts of my body and name them...

                              Ask me how we did the egg experiment using our 5 senses

Ask me what to point to the egg yolk and egg white

feeling the shell

Ask me about the egg..

                                        
                                                        What did I feel..... " oh it is sliding through my fingers"
                                              "It is slippery"    " It is softy"    "It is cold"

We experienced adding the blue colour to the egg white

                                                             Which colour did we make?

                                          Now I know yellow and blue makes...... green



 
We have been talking about mammals and animals that lay eggs



                     point to animals that lay eggs  and point to the animals that are mammals......

Room 3 learned that when you mix blue and red you get...

                       

purple!

                     

We sang a song about the lifecycle of a pumpkin. 

Ask me what the first stage is. (A seed.)

I can show you what we do with the seed (dig with our hands and plant it in the ground).
