We were ready to go out for recess, when it started to rain. We learnt a new song today, please sing with me.....
Rain Rain go away,
Come again another day,
Ben my dog wants to play,
Rain Rain go away,
Rain Rain go away,
Come again another day,
Turbo my turtle wants to play,
Rain Rain go away,
Rain Rain go away,
Come again another day,
Penny my pig wants to play,
Rain Rain go away,
Rain Rain go away,
Come again another day,
Kelly my Cow wants to play,
Rain Rain go away,
Rain Rain go away,
Come again another day,
Harry my horse wants to play,
Rain Rain go away,
Rain Rain go away,
Come again another day,
We all want to play,
Rain Rain go away
We had fun playing in the rain....
We also read the book,
Ask me about this....
We are all different yet special in our own way
Ask me how I am different from my friends....
This is soft... Up high... down low...
Ask me to find something soft
This is smooth....
Find something smooth with me
This is rough Find something that is rough with me
Point to the picture which has a smooth object and point to the
object that is rough
We read the book,
Ask me about this book...
We read about how leaves had different shapes and how they
change colour in Fall
We looked for different shapes in our room..
Ask me to point to pointy leaves, heart shape, long leaves, small leaves...
If you find any beautiful leaves, please bring them to share with everyone!
In autumn, our weather can quickly shift from summer-like warmth to, what we witness a couple of weeks ago, winter conditions.
Today, Mrs. Reimer has shared a beautiful book called Wild Child by Lynn Plourde. In this story, Mother Nature is trying to put her daughter (Autumn) to sleep but she keeps being met by the same replay
"Not for a while," said her wild child, who comes up with a variety of stalling tactics, including a song, a snack and, of course, a kiss goodnight.
Finally, Autumn goes to sleep as the weather drifts into winter. Hopefully, the Wild Child (Autumn) will be staying up late this year!
Please ask your child about the natural changes that they see taking in our Vista Heights community.
A notice has been sent home. Please check and return the red folder.
Thank you
Mrs. Malik
