The Grounds for Change program gave our students an experience of working in our natural area. The program translates knowledge into effective integrated learning which maximize meaningful learning opportunities that arise from our natural area.
Thank you Mrs. Anan Gr: 2/3 for being our buddies for this year. We went out together for our weeding session.
An expert from Calgary Zoo
Ask me about our adventure....
Ask me about what we did first....
What did we do next.....
Then.....
Finally...
Ask me which weed did I pull out with my buddy?
Look at us weeding our garden....
I found a prickly one...(thistle) Looking for weeds....
Talking about... weeds look like Vista gardners at work
Michelle showing us Quack grass I found a weed..
Yeah!! I found one A ladybug on Mrs. Anan's wrist
Excited to show the weeds to everyone
Working with our buddies
Vista gardners weeding away.....
Enjoyed being out in our natural area
Michelle explaining what weeds are....
Ask me about this.......
We read the book,
Ask me about this book. We learnt that we all are special and beautiful in our own way...
By putting make up or dressing up like others, can not become someone else.
Ask me how I am special and unique?
Ask me how am I different?
Our skin colour, the food we like to eat...
My favourite colour, sport, song....
WE ALL HAVE THE SAME FEELINGS, IF SOMEONE IS MEAN OR HITS US. WE ALL FEEL SAD. WE NEED TO BE KIND AND RESPECT EACH OTHER....
Ask me how was I kind, helpful, a good listener and how
I shared with a friend?
