Halloween

Please note that students will not attend school on Friday, October 31st.  As Halloween is celebrated on this date, students will have the opportunity to participate in dressing -up on the Thursday afternoon of October 30th.

 If students would like, they may bring costumes which they can change into for the afternoon only. For safety reasons, masks and weapons are not allowed to be part of the dress. As well, please do not send treats to school due to allergies, but save them for the trick-or-treats of the Vista Heights community.
Today we read the book to learn more about patterns,

Some patterns show age. We talked about                               spiral pattern

how we can count the rings and tell the age of the tree.

           Our Kindergarten scientists observed that gold had different colours on it...
                      We had conversation, predicting..... how that can happen...

                    Omar and Gabby said, "The sun is reflecting and we can see rainbow colours."

                                When we were learning more bout brown... we learnt a new word, 'bark'
Now we know there are 2 barks

skin on the trunk is called, " bark". We felt it and it was rough

            In Gym we had animal walk relays! I can show you how to walk like a crab and a bear. 

                                Learning  tasks during centre time. Today we sorted Non-Fiction and Fiction books. Ask me what Fiction means (a story) and what Non-Fiction means (not a story, true facts).
