Students are asked to bring their Halloween
costumes either in their backpack
or a bag so we can change into them after lunch.
Since we will change in our classrooms,
please send a costume that students can slip on over their clothes.
Brr it was cold outside today!
There were some students who didn't have gloves for recess or lunch so if you have them please send them along with your child, thank you!
Today in Room 3 we explored the letter Oo in our morning message.
We talked about pumpkins and did some math finding pumpkins in groups of one, two, three, four and five.
Ask me what I know about pumpkins.
Ask me what a pumpkin with a face is called -- a jack-o-lantern!
During centre time, Mohammed was creating at the craft table and made an M by accordion folding some paper! Way to go, Mohammed.
We are continuing to work on patterns.
Ask me what the core of this pattern is (side arrow, up arrow)
In Room 8 we learned about how animals need to camouflage
Can you spot the animal?
Why do they need to hide?
Today we read the book,
Learning about colours and how we mix colour to make other colours
We also looked at letter Hh reviewing it through the title of this book 'His'
Printing the letter Hh and working hard to hold the pencil with the correct grip
Ask me to look for Letter Hh in the words on the blog
We read the book,
Some students have been feeling sleepy and tired, so we read this fun book about this pigeon.
Ask me what happens to the pigeon when she stays up late?
Is that a good habit? What time should I be in bed?
We read the book,
We read this book again talking about how are moods effect others
Ask me why are feelings important?
Ask me when do I feel like this.....
We read the book,
Ask me about this book.....
This book is all about listening and following instruction..
What happens to the kangaroo when Lily doesn't listen to mom?
What is happening in these pages..... Ask me to tell you the story...
What lesson did I learn from this book?
Thanks, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Ms. Anderson and Mrs. Malik
