Today we read

and liked it so much we read it together again! Ask me what happens when I tell him to go away (he disappears little by little).

Our gym roof is being fixed so we got to spend more time outside. Ask me what we worked on at the start of our gym time (we balanced on the wood ledge).

Room 3 made spiders from semi circles. Ask me what semi circle means (half a circle).

We worked on cutting, gluing and folding.
Here are our finished spiders. Do you remember which one is yours?

Room 8 practiced drawing owls after reading the book. Brown bear Brown Bear What Do You See? Talking about different animals and their colours.

Students enjoyed making predictions and  choosing an owl to do a guided drawing

Ask me about this art project

We also read the book,

Reviewing fiction and non-fiction. Ask me about this book. How was this book different from the other books that we read. What was missing? How could we tell what was happening in the book?

We read the book,

Ask me about this book. What patterns did I see in this book?

Look around you what patterns can you see?

Transferring our knowledge about patterns to make AB patterns in our math journals

Ask me about AB pattern. What is a core?
How can I check if I have a pattern?

Ask me to make an AB pattern

We also read the book,

Ask me what is a rhyming word? Words that have the same endings...
Ask me to rhyme a word with  'hat'

sweep and heap                                cheer and steer

out and shout

Ask me to observe the ending sounds
Play a rhyming game with me......

Thanks, see you tomorrow for another fun day!
